Language and reasoning
Understanding questions, summarizing, drafting, and reasoning in natural language.
Giving an LLM access to enterprise data does not mean it understands the enterprise.
Cogentric Enterprise Digital Brain is an agentic data intelligence platform for product and party master data.
Large language models are powerful general reasoners. On their own, they answer from the context they are given, and they can miss context, overlook exceptions, misunderstand relationships, and answer without enough evidence. Enterprise Digital Brain uses LLMs inside its loop and supplies what they cannot infer: continuously improved product and party data, the relationships between them, your rules, and the memory of past decisions, with evidence and confidence shown.
Understanding questions, summarizing, drafting, and reasoning in natural language.
General knowledge across almost any topic.
A useful prototype in hours, through a chat window or an API.
An LLM answers and acts on the context it is given. Enterprise rules, provenance, the relationships between products and parties, and the memory of past decisions have to be supplied by whoever builds around it. An answer is only as broad as the context behind it.
Enterprise Digital Brain grounds every answer in continuously improved data, relationships, policy, and decision memory, shows its evidence and confidence, and uses that context to surface opportunities nobody asked about. The model is replaceable. The accumulated understanding of the enterprise isn't.
| Dimension | LLMs | Enterprise Digital Brain |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | General language understanding and generation | Understanding, improving, and acting on product and party data |
| LEVEL 1Understand the business | Supplied through prompts and integrations | Learned and retained: relationships, context, intent, and history |
| LEVEL 2Continuously improve the data foundation | Left to the builder | Continuous monitoring and improvement, with evidence |
| LEVEL 3Build trusted intelligence | Supplied by the builder: rules, provenance, and memory | Evidence, confidence, and provenance on every conclusion, plus decision memory |
| LEVEL 4Discover, anticipate, and solve | Solves the question in the prompt | Surfaces opportunities, anticipates likely needs, and solves known problems, inside policy |
| Evidence | Depends on what the builder adds | Shown with every conclusion |
| Memory | Within a conversation or what the builder stores | Decision memory that stays with you |
| Relationship to your stack | A model you call | A layer that uses models inside it; models can be swapped |
The four levels of value: understand the business, continuously improve the data foundation, build trusted intelligence, and discover, anticipate, and solve. How the four levels work →
Keep using LLMs for language tasks. Ground them in the brain's product and party understanding when the answer has to be right.
Give copilots and assistants trusted context, with evidence, so their answers about products and parties can be relied on.
Skip building the context layer yourself: data improvement, relationships, rules, and memory arrive as part of the brain.
Many enterprises use both: the platform they own, and the brain working over it.
Yes, inside its loop. LLMs are one of the tools the brain uses to understand and reason. The context, rules, evidence, and decision memory around them are what make the result trustworthy.
You can, and it is a good way to explore. Access is not understanding: the model still needs the relationships, rules, and history of your business, and the data has to keep improving. That is what the brain supplies.
The brain is designed so the model can be replaced. The understanding it has accumulated stays with you.
Comparisons describe each category as it is typically positioned, not any specific product. Where an existing platform is stronger, we say so. Example solutions are offered as a challenge or a pilot on your own data.
Send a real slice of your data. We will reason against it in your vocabulary.
